A compilation DVD of the "greatest hits" and rare video footage of legendary '70s glam rockers Sweet will be released in the U.K. through Wienerworld on October 27.

The DVD, titled "Glitz, Blitz and Hitz - They Very Best of Sweet" (view cover here), brings together all of Sweet's biggest hits and includes rare performances of their self-penned heavier tracks as well as bonus material from the original 16mm films that Sweet recorded to promote their singles worldwide.

After thirty years Sweet are now getting the recognition they deserved and are now listed as a major influence by some of today's top rock acts.

With official endorsements from the entire band and a running time of 120 minutes, this DVD is the definitive Sweet package.
